WhisperComfort™ ERV is the best ventilation solution for balancing air pressure in a tight home. Ideal for Single and Multi-Family buildings, it is designed to run continuously at a low CFM setting to exhaust stale air, moisture, and indoor pollutants, while bringing in fresh, clean, tempered air from outside. WhisperComfort is an ideal choice for a single room, or as part of a whole-house Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) strategy.
WhisperComfort replaces the air it exhausts while exchanging the heat between incoming and outgoing air. In winter, heat is transferred from the warm outgoing air to the cooler incoming air. This process tempers supply air while transferring moisture. In summer, heat is extracted from the warm incoming air and transferred to the cool outgoing air. The result is better IAQ and low energy bills. WhisperComfort is UL Listed for ceiling and wall mount applications. It is ideal for a home office, game room, or family room where old air can quickly get stale. Fresh air is supplied at a low rate while maintaining balanced air pressure. This is an affordable way to add ERV to a specific room or a new addition. Add a few more WhisperComfort fans to build a whole-house balanced ventilation strategy. WhisperComfort is suitable to meet whole house ventilation requirements under ASHRAE 62.2. Two or three WhisperComfort ERV's may be installed, often at a cost lower than a traditional whole house ERV.
WhisperComfort's unique and patented capillary core is made from a paper-like material that allows the airstream of inside air to pass right next to airstreams of outside air. The airstreams don't touch each other or mix but the core design allows energy, or heat and moisture, to transfer to the other airstream. In winter, heat is transferred from the warm outgoing air to the cooler incoming air. In summer, heat is extracted from the warm incoming air and transferred to the cool outgoing air. Because the fans are ceiling inserts, cleaning the filters is as easy as popping the designer grill and vacuuming.
The same energy efficient AC condenser motors that power Panasonic's other high performance vent fans power the WhisperComfort. But WhisperComfort has two highly efficient blower wheels running on a single motor for lower power consumption and decreased noise. These blower wheels move a lot of air at low speeds so they run cooler and last longer. The motor is also equipped with a thermal-cutoff fuse.
