Why choose a central heat pump system?

Central heat pumps operate more efficiently than conventional furnaces in all but the coldest winter weather, allowing homeowners to significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. An optimal HVAC solution may include a standalone heat pump or hybrid heat pump-furnace system, depending on the climate zone. During the summer months, a heat pump can run in reverse to provide whole-home cooling, eliminating the need to purchase and maintain a separate air conditioning system. Safe, reliable and affordable, with a long service life, central heat pump systems are a smart choice for homeowners.

What is INTERIOS?

INTERIOS™ central heat pump systems give Canadian homeowners the opportunity to switch from traditional HVAC systems to a more flexible HVAC solution that minimizes operating costs and achieves a smaller carbon footprint. Thanks to proprietary inverter technology, INTERIOS solutions deliver more accurate temperature control while consuming less energy, so you can save up to 30% on your monthly bill. The Panasonic suite of INTERIOS products has been designed for high-performance heating and cooling in townhouses, large custom homes and everything in between.

Energy-efficient and eco-friendly, INTERIOS™ heat pumps maintain peak home comfort year-round with ultra-stable room temperature, optimal airflow and quiet operation. Plus, every INTERIOS heat pump installed by a Panasonic certified technician is backed by our unbeatable 10/10 year warranty.

Did you know? INTERIOS™ central heat pumps are eligible for government reimbursement through the new Canada Greener Homes Grant.

Unique central heat pump technology for cold climates

INTERIOS™ heat pumps can operate in virtually any climate, reliably generating heat even when temperatures plummet to -30°C (-22°F) outside. Certified by ENERGY STAR® for cold climates, INTERIOS has superior low ambient heating, with 100% output down to -15°C (-4°F) and a Coefficient of Performance (COP) up to 2.0 at that temperature. Panasonic offers optional auxiliary heat kits that can provide additional heat output on the coldest nights of the year. Alternatively, homeowners may choose an INTERIOS hybrid heating solution that can be used in combination with a conventional furnace.

Easy installation for retrofits and new builds

Panasonic INTERIOS™ hybrid heat pump systems are compatible with new and existing furnaces so they can be used to engineer a highly flexible upgrade solution. INTERIOS heat pumps come with adaptive technology that enables installers to get the system running at optimal levels without having to perform complicated manual air balance testing. The thin design of INTERIOS condensers ensures they take up minimal space outside, while our air handler units can be conveniently oriented to fit the space available indoors.
