The AG-UX90 is the standard model in the 4K UX Professional Camcorder Series, featuring a 1" (effective size) high-sensitivity MOS sensor with 15x optical zoom and 24.5 mm wide angle lens. With its extensive focus assist features, multiple recording formats in 4K and HD, as well as precise image adjustment functions, the economical UX90 is the pro camcorder to upgrade to entry-level 4K acquisition.
High performance 4K LEICA DICOMAR lens
The AG-UX90 is the standard model for easy, high-quality 4K/FHD recording. It is equipped with a newly designed compact lens featuring a wide 24.5 mm angle lens and 15x optical zoom. Its Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.), intelligent AF function, and Manual Three Rings are ideal for professional camera work.
It is also equipped with a 1.0-type high-sensitivity MOS sensor, supporting UHD 25p and FHD 50p/25p multi-format recording. In addition to 4K (UHD) high resolution, it provides high-quality FHD recording at 50 Mbps.
Advanced optical image stabilization
Advanced Optical Image Stabilizer [UHD/FHD]: The correction area of the Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.) been expanded, which provides powerful correction even in unstable shooting situations, such as low-angle or high-angle shots.
5-Axis Hybrid Image Stabilizer [FHD]: In HD shooting modes, by using hand-shake correction that combines the effects of both optical and electronic image stabilization, hand-shake in various directions, including the rotary direction, is detected and corrected.
Intelligent AF technology
The AG-UX90 is equipped with intelligent auto focus technology, offering industry leading focusing speed, tracking performance and image stability. This top level performance is achieved through the primary focus algorithm. A high-precision, high-speed Micro Drive Focus Unit accurately tracks subjects, even when experiencing abrupt changes in focal distance.
The UX90 provides numerous options to optimize your settings, including adjustment of AF speed, tracking sensitivity and area setting for even more flexibility.
Various recording formats
The variety of recording modes with selectable image quality, frame rate and bit rate settings are ideal for a wide range of applications, from cinema production to online distribution. Images can be recorded with a resolution of UHD (3840 x 2160)/30p or FHD (1980 x 1080)/60p. Versatile and easy-to-use MOV (QuickTime), MP4 and AVCHD file formats are supported.
VFR (2 fps to 60 fps)
FHD VFR (variable frame rate) Recording: VFR recording can be set in 10 steps from 2 fps to 60 fps (60 Hz) / 9 steps from 2 fps to 50 fps (50 Hz).
Dual SD memory card slots
The AG-UX90 comes equipped with two SD cards slots, enabling options such as unlimited relay recording and simultaneous recording.
ROP iPad App: Wireless camera operation
The AG ROP app for iPad is available free of charge from the App Store. It enables wireless remote control of the AG-UX90, with installation of a wireless module (optional AJ-WM50/AJ-WM30). In addition to a multitude of control functions, such as camera settings, picture quality adjustment, REC start/stop and menu setting, the AG ROP app allows control of the UX90's internal lens for remote operation of the i.Zoom, zoom and focus. It also displays a thumbnail view and a preview view, so sub-recording clips can be displayed as thumbnails and previewed on an iPad.
