The Panasonic TOUGHBOOK 55 is a 14” semi-rugged laptop that features an innovative modular design and up to 38 hours of battery life with its optional 2nd battery. The modular design features six expansion areas allowing users to upgrade the memory, storage, keyboard and three different xPAK areas featuring a new barcode reader, additional I/O, optical drives, authentication readers and more. Backwards compatibility with the previous generation of docks protects customers’ investments while saving time and resources. Built with state of the art technology, the TOUGHBOOK 55 offers the latest Intel® 11th Gen vPro™ processors, optional Intel Iris® Xe Graphics, tetra array microphone that provides unparalleled speech recognition accuracy, unmatched battery life, color-selectable backlit keyboard and a Night mode to reduce eye strain and help preserve night vision.

The TOUGHBOOK 55 features six user-upgradeable expansion areas including memory, storage, keyboard and three xPAK areas. The xPAKs now include an all new barcode reader, optical drives, authentification readers as well as additional I/O, batteries and additional storage drives. This unparalleled customization enables organizations to help futureproof, simplify ordering, shorten lead times and decrease downtime.
Unprecedented all-day battery life
With up to 19 hours of battery life, or 38 with optional second battery and the ability to hot swap, workers can easily work in the field or pass their unit to the next shift without worrying about low battery.
Color-selectable Backlit Keyboard
The color-selectable backlit keyboard has four levels of brightness and allows you to select from four preset colors or create your own. Compared to the TOUGHBOOK 54, it is 3x brighter and has double the number of user-definable keys, a seamless 25% larger touchpad and keyboard icons that are backlit for easier night viewing.
Tetra-array microphones
Featuring four microphones that offer class leading speech recognition and up to 3x the accuracy in noisy environments. The tetra-array microphones are paired with an infrared webcam which supports facial recognition using Windows Hello and has a privacy cover for security.
