On June 1, Panasonic Energy North America joined fellow participants and sponsors at the Swinging FORE Education Golf Tournament, which raised more than $31,000 to help support the educators and students of USD 232.
“Our partnership with the USD 232 Education Foundation has been a top priority for Panasonic Energy since we became a part of the De Soto community,” said Allan Swan, President of Panasonic Energy North America. “When we presented a $25,000 donation to USD 232 at our November groundbreaking, we made it clear that it was just the beginning of the strong relationship.”
The skilled workforce in this region is one of the main reasons we chose the De Soto site, and we’re excited to help grow and strengthen that workforce even further by partnering with USD 232, as well as area colleges, to create an even deeper talent pool for the future.
“We’re excited to continue to get to know all of our neighbors and provide opportunities for USD 232 graduates to gain entry into the growing EV industry,” Swan added. “Whether it’s when we hire De Soto residents or when our Panasonic Energy colleagues’ children become students in the District, this relationship will shape the community for generations to come.”
