When they’re not walking production lines at the Nevada Gigafactory or donning hard hats at the Kansas battery manufacturing construction site, our Panasonic Energy executives are engaging with other EV industry experts on driving a more sustainable future.

Last summer, PENA President Allan Swan electrified the main stage at the Center for Automotive Research’s Management Briefing Seminar with his keynote on the future of sustainable manufacturing. As the EV industry rapidly evolves, it presents tremendous opportunities in this dynamic market, albeit with significant challenges such as scaling, price volatility, and developing a domestic supply chain. Panasonic Energy is adeptly navigating these hurdles, propelling EV adoption and championing a more sustainable way of living. As Allan said, “We believe that we will succeed if we scale our business in a way that is sustainable for our people; sustainable for our business; sustainable for our industry; and sustainable for our planet.”

Robert Winans, Vice President, Supply Chain, also participated in a recent panel with industry experts on building resilience in the supply chain. Hosted by MOVE America, Robert and his fellow panelists emphasized that resilience is crucial, especially in the burgeoning EV industry. He shared Panasonic’s goal of establishing a domestic supply chain that aligns with our unwavering commitment to sustainability. As Robert insightfully noted, “resilience means scrutinizing where materials are sourced today and, more importantly, constantly scouting for new sources for the future.”
