PANASONIC ANNOUNCES SMART NETWORK

AT 2014 INTERNATIONAL CES

Modern Form Meets Enhanced Functionality in the New SC-BTT465 and SC-BTT405

January 6, 2014 (Las Vegas, NV) – Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company today announced the introduction of two new Smart Network FULL HD 3D Blu-ray Disc Home Theater Systems that deliver high-resolution 3D images and true-to-life surround sound to enrich a user’s cinema experience.  Sporting attractive designs to harmonize with any living area, the new Smart Network Home Theater Systems include advanced network functions, offering greater overall enjoyment of movies and television and new ways for users to experience video and audio.  The new SC-BTT465 and the new SC-BTT405 will be available www.shop.panasonic.com later this year.

“With the new Smart Network 3D Blu-Ray Disc Home Theater Systems, Panasonic is bringing a true cinema experience right into family living rooms, reproducing crystal clear imagery and faithful audio that engulfs the listener,” said David Fisher, Product Manager, Home Entertainment, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company.  “We have built upon our previous picture and sound technologies to enhance product enjoyment, giving users a more intimate connection with what they see on screen.”

The new Panasonic SC-BTT465 and SC-BTT405 incorporate Panasonic's renowned FULL HD 3D image reproduction technology to play back dynamic 3D movies faithful to the original. They are also packed with advanced Panasonic sound technologies to fill a room with natural, dynamic bass sound. The 5.1-channel Rich Surround System with Powerful Bass-Reflex Subwoofer faithfully reproduces sound, with all nuances intact, from Blu-ray Disc media through five speakers that are designed to surround the user’s viewing position and a bass-reflex type subwoofer that achieves rich, robust bass. The BTT465 and BTT405 deliver truly realistic, high-quality surround sound to enhance the exciting climactic scenes in movies.  The BTT465 is equipped with tall-boy front speakers, satellite speakers for surround sound and a bass-reflex type subwoofer, while the BTT405 uses satellite speakers for the front and surround, and a bass-reflex type subwoofer. Panasonic has designed these two models with varying speaker sizes so that a user can select the right high-quality system based on their needs for their rooms.

The new Smart Network 3D Blu-Ray Disc Home Theater Systems from Panasonic support popular Internet applications including YouTube, Netflix and CinemaNow™.  An optional wireless adapter can establish a wireless connection to a home network. Additionally, both the BTT465 and BTT405 have built-in Near Field Communication (NFC) capability, which enables a compatible smartphone to easily pair with the device via Bluetooth.  A user simply waves the smartphone over the One-touch Connection mark on the main unit to establish a connection to play their music.
