CES 2015: PANASONIC DEBUTS CYCLONIC-WAVE MICROWAVE OVEN LINE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PANASONIC DEBUTS CYCLONIC-WAVE MICROWAVE OVEN LINE

Proprietary Cyclonic Wave Technology Takes Microwaves to New Level of Efficiency; Disperses Microwave Energy to Contact Food Evenly Regardless of Size and Shape.

January 5, 2015 (Las Vegas, NV) – Panasonic announced today the debut of its
Cyclonic Wave Microwave Oven line at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Panasonic’s Cyclonic-Wave technology evenly distributes microwave energy to ensure that foods are perfectly thawed and evenly heated and cooked.

The Panasonic Cyclonic-Wave Microwave Oven line includes two sizes – 2.2 cubic ft. (NN-SE985S) and 1.6 cubic ft. (NN-SE785S). Both models will be available in April via panasonic.com and other retailers. Pricing and additional availability details will be announced at a later date.

Most microwave ovens radiate energy in straight lines (top and bottom) and are unable to reach all food surfaces evenly, resulting in uneven heating and cooking results. Panasonic Cyclonic-Wave Microwave Ovens deliver microwave energy gently and evenly in a three dimensional, circular pattern which contacts all food evenly, regardless of food shape and size, for remarkably even cooking results.

“Microwave ovens are supposed to be convenient but often do not deliver on that promise with uneven heating and cooking results,” said Julie Baumann, Senior Product Manager – Home Appliances, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company. “Our Cyclonic-Wave technology disperses microwaves in a whole new and far more efficient way to eliminate the cold spots, undercooked centers and dried-out edges.. With this technology, consumers can enjoy more even defrosting results so they can cut or break up frozen meat easily and can enjoy a wide range of delicious meals without failure every time.”

Panasonic Cyclonic-Wave Microwave Ovens can be installed as countertop or built-in units and features electrostatic glass touch control panels, 1250 watts of cooking power, multi-stage cooking, 20 programmable sensor cook and reheat options, and a turbo defrost mode. The SE985S features a 16.5-inch turntable diameter and the SE785S offers a 15-inch diameter.
