When it comes to advancing sustainable energy, Panasonic Energy is at the forefront of pioneering initiatives that make a lasting impact on both technology and local communities.

As we continue to expand and innovate, our commitment to sustainability and community impact remains steadfast. If you missed it, here's a glimpse into Panasonic's vision and the transformative power of our latest projects.

Following our milestone of 10 billion lithium-ion cells produced at the Nevada facility, Wes Sloan, Executive Vice President of Panasonic Energy of North America, shared insights into our company's ambitious plans and achievements in the sustainable energy sector. Wes delved into Panasonic Energy's commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions and its role in powering the future of EVs. He emphasized the importance of innovation and excellence in lithium-ion battery technology, which has not only transformed Nevada but set a new standard across the United States.

In Kansas, construction is still underway, but the impact of our facility is already making waves. In a historic move, the city of De Soto has approved the largest property tax rate decrease ever, thanks to the economic boost from construction workers building Panasonic’s new $4 billion battery plant and supporting local businesses. This substantial tax reduction, from 19.8m to 13.78m, is expected to attract new businesses and residents, driving further economic growth in the area. Additionally, the influx of jobs and economic activity has allowed De Soto to invest in essential services, such as law enforcement and road maintenance, improving the quality of life for its residents.
