FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. (AUGUST 10, 2021) – Today, Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America, a Division of Panasonic Corporation of North America, is pleased to announce that the Fender Premium Audio System will debut on the all-new 2022 Nissan Frontier. The unique collaboration with Fender Musical Instruments Corporation has led to an impressively engineered vehicle sound system with uncompromised sound quality and performance. The 2022 Nissan Frontier will be the second Nissan truck and the only vehicle in its class to feature the Fender Premium Audio System. This debut builds upon the launch of Fender Premium Audio in the 2019 Nissan Titan.

The Fender Premium Audio System in the 2022 Nissan Frontier includes 10 speakers with increased amplifier power of 440 watts. To achieve a more enhanced acoustic performance, the Fender Premium Audio system features Panasonic’s exclusive Acoustic Motion Control™ technology that reduces the vibration in individual speakers to optimize the sound field whether traveling on-road or taking adventures off-road.

The Fender Premium Audio System will be available on select Crew Cab configuration trim levels on the 2022 Nissan Frontier:

  • Frontier PRO-4X Crew Cab
  • Frontier PRO-X Crew Cab
  • Frontier SV Crew Cab

The Fender Premium Audio System features include:

  • 440 watts of amplifier power
  • 10 speakers
  • Panasonic’s proprietary Acoustic Motion Control™ which provides precise control of speaker diaphragm motion allowing for stunning reverb details and outstanding clarity from instrumentals
  • Segment exclusive front 3-way speaker configuration for improved staging and acoustic performance
    • Front 1in. soft dome tweeters in the top of the instrument panel
    • Front 2.5in. Super Dynamic Range (SDR) midrange speakers in the top of the instrument panel
    • 6in. x 9in. Super Dynamic Range (SDR) high power woofers in the front doors
  • 6.5in. rear door mid woofer speakers
  • Two 6.5in. Super Low Distortion Driver (SLDD) subwoofers within a 10 liter enclosure
