What is the difference between the DC-coupled and AC-coupled systems?
In general, DC-coupled systems are great for new installations and AC-coupled systems are perfect if you already have an existing solar system. Your Panasonic installer will be able to assist in recommending the best solution for your needs.
Do I need a solar system to use the EverVolt?
No, you do not need a solar system to power your EverVolt system. But how are you going to recharge your batteries when the power is out for days?
Is EverVolt compatible with all residential solar systems?
Yes! If you already have a solar system on your rooftop, all you have to do is call your installer to install the EverVolt system. If you're planning to couple your EverVolt system with solar, don't forget to ask for Panasonic HIT solar panels!
How long can I power my house with EverVolt?
Depending on the size of your EverVolt system and essential loads in use, you can power up your house for a certain number of hours to days. Essential loads are those loads which are deemed essential by you during long hours of power outages - i.e. lights, refrigeration, heating, etc. If you want to run your air conditioners, consider going for a larger size system.
