This Privacy Notice is for the EVERVOLT software-as-a-service, website, and mobile application associated with the EVERVOLT Home Battery System (“Platform”) created and offered by Panasonic Eco Systems North America, Division of Panasonic Corporation of North America (“Panasonic”, “we” or “us”). Please read this document for an explanation of how Panasonic collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you access or use the Platform, which comprises: (i) battery energy storage hardware and embedded firmware components capable of data broadcast and communication with other elements of the Platform (each a “Device”) integrated into the electrical network at your residence, (ii) the Platform website(s) and/or mobile application(s) hosted by or on behalf of Panasonic that enables you or a Third Party to, among other things, access reports and share information collected or made available through the Platform user portal; and (iii) any other hardware, software, support, operating systems, applications, and other technology connected to such Device and Platform provided by Panasonic to you for the purpose of enabling storage of energy on the Device. Depending on context, “you” or “your” refers to the owner of the residence where a Device is installed and who registers an account through the Platform.
We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our website homepage or sending you a notification). We encourage you to review the Privacy Notice whenever you access the Platform or otherwise interact with us to stay informed about our information practices and the choices available to you.
You might use our Platform in conjunction with services of another person or entity that monitors the Platform or information received from Devices (each a “Third Party,” and collectively, “Third Parties”). Your use of this Platform might also qualify you for certain rebate programs, which will require us to disclose certain information to such Third Party rebate program providers. Please read the “Uses of Information” and “Sharing of Information” sections below for more details.
Panasonic designed the Platform specifically to allow you to monitor the performance of the Platform and to send commands to the Platform in connection with Devices installed and connected to your residence’s electrical system. The Platform requires the collection of your information (including geolocation) to make these functions available to you. Panasonic is not responsible for any use or sharing of your information by a Third Party or other person or entity with whom the Third Party shares information about you or your energy use. Any use or sharing of your information by a Third Party or any other individual or entity with whom a Third Party shares information about you or your energy use is solely between you and the Third Party. We have no control or responsibility over such sharing.

Collection of Information
Information You Provide to Us
We collect information you provide directly to us. For example, we collect information when you create an account, participate in any interactive features of the Platform, fill out a form, communicate with us through sites that we do not control, or otherwise communicate with us. The types of information we may collect include your name, email address, phone number, preferences, and any other information you choose to provide.
We also collect your information if you post, display and/or publish content on the Platform. Additionally, when you enter any password-protected area of the Platform, the Platform will recognize you and collect information that you submit through the use of authentication tokens tied to user accounts created on or through an integrated user database.
Information About Your Use of the Platform
We collect information about your use of the Platform, such as the search terms you enter, the location of your residence, your location relative to your Device, and the identity of your devices.
Automatically Collected Information: When you access or use our Platform, we automatically collect information about you, including:
- Log and Usage Information: We collect log information about your use of the Platform, including the type of browser and operating system you use, the domain and host from which you access the internet, access times, pages viewed, your IP address, queries executed, and connection type to the data provided.
Platform Information: We collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access our Platform, including the hardware model, operating system and version, unique Device identifiers and tokens, and/or serial numbers as assigned by us, unique identifier headers, mobile network information, and other information that identifies you as the user of the Device or the person providing information to us.
Location Information: In accordance with your device permissions, we may collect information about the precise location of your mobile device. In addition, we may collection information about the precise location of the Device installed at your residence.
Information We Collect via the Use of the Platform
The Platform generates data regarding you and your Device, including:
Energy Usage Data: We will collect information regarding the electricity that your residence uses at all times while your Device is connected to the electricity grid.
Electrical Grid Interaction. We may also monitor your Device’s connection to and interaction with your electric utility company’s grid to facilitate your Device’s participation in certain rebate programs, delivery of electricity from and to the grid, and any automatic commands to your Device from the grid as described in the terms of such programs that you join
Account Information. We will also collect your account information, which will include your name, email address, password, and address of your residence that you submit via the Platform to establish your account.
Information We Collect from Other Sources
We may obtain information from other sources and combine that with information we collect directly from you. For example, we may collect information about you from Third Parties and other individuals or entities, including but not limited to identity verification services and publicly available sources. Such information might include your name and account information, in accordance with the authorization procedures determined by such site. Your use of the Platform also gives your consent to our collection of your information, including your personal information, from law enforcement, other government entities, and publicly available sources.
Information We Derive
We may derive information or draw inferences about you based on the information we collect. For example, we may make inferences about your location based on your IP address.
Use of Information
We use the information we collect to deliver the Platform, customize your experience with us, and to administer your account. We may also use the information we collect to:
Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages and to respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests;
Analyze the success of our Platform;
Better understand the needs and interest of our customers;
Manage the Device’s functionality;
Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Platform;
Comply with Panasonic’s legal and regulatory obligations;
Personalize and improve our products and services; and
Carry out any other purpose described to you at the time the information was collected.
Our use of information is in conjunction with ancillary services that we provide to you or Third Parties, and that Third Parties may provide to you, as further described in the Sharing of Information Section below.
Sharing of Information
We may share information about you as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Notice:
With vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on your or our behalf (i.e. your voluntary participation in a utility/rebate program);
In response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or required by, any applicable law or legal process, including lawful requests by public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements;
If we believe your actions are inconsistent with our user agreements or policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Panasonic or others;
In connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company;
Between and among Panasonic and our current and future parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and other companies under common control and ownership; and
With your consent or at your direction.
Panasonic may disclose aggregated statistics about Device usage, along with anonymous information collected from other sources. We may also share aggregated or de-identified information with third parties (such as advisors, and investors), which cannot reasonably be used to identify you, for various business purposes, including conducting general business analysis and developing website content and services.
A Third Party may receive information we collect about you through the Platform, described in more detail in the “Collection of Information” section above. Third Parties and/or their service providers and other partners may have access to information collected via the Platform and may further share your information at their discretion without the knowledge of Panasonic, and we have no control or responsibility over such sharing.
Analytics Services Provided by Others
We store the information we collect on you for as long as is necessary for the purpose(s) for which we originally collected it, or for other legitimate business purposes, including to meet our legal, regulatory, or other compliance obligations. When your personal information is no longer required for the purpose it was collected or as required by applicable law, it will be deleted in accordance with applicable law.
Transfer of Information to the U.S. and Other Countries
Panasonic is based in the U.S., and we process and store information in the U.S. The Platform is intended for users in the United States and its territories and possessions, but if you use the Platform from any country outside the United States, the various communications will necessarily result in the transfer of information across international boundaries, and by visiting the Platform, you consent to these transfers as required or permitted by applicable law. Therefore, we and our service providers may transfer your information to, or store or access it in, jurisdictions that may not provide equivalent levels of data protection as your home jurisdiction. We will take steps to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions in which we process it.
You may access, amend, update, or correct your information at any time by logging into your account or emailing us at [email protected] but note that we may ask you to identify which system you are interacting with. You may also call us at (855) 772-2891. In some circumstances, you may have the right to object to Panasonic’s use of your information. If you wish to delete or deactivate your account, please email us at [email protected] or call us at (855) 772-2891, but note that we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes or we may also ask you to identify which system you are interacting with. We may also retain cached or archived copies of information about you for a certain period of time.
The website uses “cookies” that may be sent to your computer and which contain information allowing us to recognize when you are viewing the website and to keep track of your preferences. The cookies also automatically collect information about your activity on our website, such as the web pages that you visit, the links that you click, and the searches that you conduct.
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. If you prefer, you can usually choose to set your browser to remove or reject browser cookies. Please note that if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect the availability and functionality of our Platform.
Mobile Push Notifications/Alerts
With your consent, we may send non-promotional push notifications or alerts to your mobile device. You can deactivate these messages at any time by changing the notification settings on the Platform mobile app.
Your California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act or “CCPA” (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.100 et seq.) and the Shine the Light law (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83) afford[s] consumers residing in California certain rights with respect to their personal information. If you are a California resident, this section applies to you.

Subject to certain limitations, you have the right to (1) request to know more about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose, (2) request deletion of your personal information, and (3) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will verify your request by asking you to provide information related to your recent interactions with us, such as identifying which system you are interacting with or validating the email address we have on file. We will not discriminate against you if you exercise your rights under the CCPA.
If we receive your request from an authorized agent, we may ask for evidence that you have provided such agent with a power of attorney or that the agent otherwise has valid written authority to submit requests to exercise rights on your behalf. Sale of Personal Information
We sell or share internet and other electronic network activity information, including sensitive data, to marketing and advertising partners for targeted advertising and cross behavioral advertising purposes. We also share or sell information with other third parties including installers or utility aggregators (i.e. rebate programs) as directed by you. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information or the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
