The Panasonic KX-PRL262B Dock-Style cordless telephone system, an Honoree in the Wireless Handset Accessories Product Category, acts as both a home telephone system and a chargeable docking station for iPhone 5/5s,iPod touch and iPad mini models.  By simply connecting the iPhone 5 via Bluetooth® on the Panasonic KX-PRL262B Dock-Style cordless telephone system, users can play music or make and receive hands-free calls from their iPhone, through the phone’s speakers via Bluetooth® technology.  Using Panasonic’s popular Link2Cell technology to connect a user’s iPhone with the KX-PRL262B’s DECT handset, allows users to make and receive cell phone calls anywhere in the home. To ensure important text messages are not missed, the phone offers a talking text sender alert that announces the name of the sender when a text message is received on the iPhone.  Designed for convenience and the ultimate in usability, the Panasonic KX-PRL262B Dock-Style DECT telephone system’s easy-to-read display angle allows Facetime video communication on the iPhone while it’s docked and being charged. The Panasonic KX-PRL262B Dock-Style DECT telephone system incorporates superb high-quality stereo speakers for crystal clear playback when streaming and listening to music. An Honoree in the Home Appliances product category, the Panasonic KX-PRW120W Premium Design Series Cordless Telephone has a slim and stylish design with a unique, lay-down style for easy grab-and-grip and comfortable one-hand or hands-free operation.  The phone includes a Smartphone Connect feature that allows consumers to make and receive landline calls throughout their home using a smartphone or tablet device.  Users can also upload images, wallpaper, ringtones and audio files as a way to customize the Panasonic KX-PRW120W handset.

The prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Awards are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the producer of the International CES, the global gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technology, and have been recognizing achievements in product design and engineering since 1976.

Panasonic’s honored products will be displayed in The Venetian at the 2014 International CES, which runs January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Honorees will also be displayed at CES Unveiled: The Official Media Event of the International CES from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 5 in South Seas Ballroom C at Mandalay Bay.


The Innovations entries are judged based on the following criteria:

·        Engineering qualities, based on technical specs and materials used

·        Aesthetic and design qualities, using photos provided

·        The product’s intended use/function and user value

·        Why the product deserves the Innovations award, including specifics regarding its unique/novel features and features that consumers would find attractive

·        How the design and innovation of this product directly compare to other products in the market place

Products chosen as an Innovations honoree reflect innovative design and engineering of the entries. Examples may include the first time various technologies are combined in a single product or dramatic enhancements to previous product designs.
