Panasonic Lands Multiple Government Wins with Public Safety Portfolio for Strong Start to 2019

Public Safety Solutions Group brings in five net-new law enforcement accounts in first quarter 2019

NEWARK, NJ (August 10, 2019)Panasonic, a leader in connected solutions that support law enforcement and public safety, is pleased to announce five net-new government account wins in the first quarter FY19 for its Public Safety Solutions portfolio that includes Arbitrator™ Body-Worn Cameras (BWC), In Car Video (ICV), and  Digital Evidence Management products and services.

“We are proud that new customers in the government sector are choosing Panasonic technology solutions to improve officer safety throughout their communities,” said Paul Bazzano, Director, Panasonic Security Solutions Group. “Five net-wins in the first quarter of F19 is a great accomplishment by our sales team and partners.”

The Corpus Christi Police Department in Corpus Christi, Texas, purchased 180 Panasonic Body-Worn Cameras to their agency and is scoped for Panasonic to develop custom software to manage their evidence capture. Integrator Turn Key Mobile initiated and helped secure the business opportunity, while Panasonic provided all officer and administration training during the deployment.

Connecticut’s Fairfield Police Department has committed to outfitting their 110-officer agency with BWCs as well as their fleet of vehicles with Panasonic ICV units, the result of an introduction by reseller Telrepco.

Wayne State University’s Police Department turned to Panasonic to provide a reliable, rugged hardware solution backed by reputable customer support. Brought to Panasonic by ComSource, the university’s agency procured 20 ICV and 70 BWC after two months of rigorous testing and evaluation. Deployment of the Panasonic equipment was in early August.

In Ohio, ARC worked with the Zanesville Police Department to outfit four of their police vehicles with Panasonic IVC equipment in April; the Heath Police Department purchased and has already deployed  Panasonic ICV units in eight of their agency vehicles.
