Allan Swan Appointed President of Panasonic Energy of North America

Panasonic Corporation of North America today announced the appointment of Allan Swan as President of Panasonic Energy of North America at the Tesla Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada, effective September 10th, 2018.

"Allan Swan is a respected and experienced leader in accelerating supply chain performance and delivering operational success," said Shawn Watanabe, Director of the Tesla Energy Business Division of Automotive & Industrial Systems Company, Panasonic Corporation. "His expertise in manufacturing, supply chain, and operations will allow Panasonic to continue productivity growth and strengthen overall performance. We are delighted to have Allan join the Panasonic Energy team here in Nevada."

Mr. Swan joins Panasonic from Roll's Royce, where he served as Senior Vice President for the US Operations of the Defense Business. He has held multiple manufacturing, supply chain, and operations-related leadership roles throughout his career not only at Rolls-Royce, but also at ThyssenKrupp in Germany and United Technologies in his home country of Scotland.
