Panasonic VIEW 7 Tag Now Available for Logiscend System
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Panasonic announces it has started taking orders for the Panasonic VIEW 7 Tag, which provides an electronic, trackable and connected solution to replace paper labels in manufacturing and logistics applications. The 7-inch VIEW Tag is available as part of the Panasonic Logiscend System, a turnkey material flow management solution for discrete manufacturing applications that need to manage, track, and interact with their assets.
Equipped with an easy-to-read e-paper screen for multi-page, dynamic instructions and RFID technology for process tracking, the VIEW 7 Tag has a large screen size for applications that require more information to be conveyed to the operator. The VIEW 7 Tag communicates material location, status, and other relevant material flow information to the server, which then sends any new required build instructions to the operator via the e- paper screen. This allows for real-time changes and assures the operator has the most current information.
“By eliminating the time and expense associated with printing instructions on paper labels and paper travelers, the VIEW 7 Tags reduce costs and improve operational efficiency and quality,” said George Daddis, Vice President, Panasonic PIDSA-IIoTS. “The rugged tag was designed specifically for today’s smart manufacturing environments. Panasonic VIEW Tags and other components of the Panasonic Logiscend System leverage data and real-time learning to continuously enhance material flow processes.”
The VIEW 7 Tags are supported by the recently launched Logiscend Software 2.0, which integrates new hardware options and brings additional efficiency-boosting features to the Logiscend System’s paperless, industrial IoT solution. The VIEW 7 Tags join the family of VIEW 3 and VIEW 4 Tags to enable an end-to-end material flow management solution.

PIDSA-IIoTS designs and manufactures the Panasonic Logiscend System. Logiscend is a turnkey, material flow management solution for complex, discrete manufacturing. The Logiscend system replaces paper-based material flow processes with a digital based solution—creating “smart materials.” The solution utilizes a unique combination of software, wireless RFID and e- paper that helps manufacturers get the right parts to the right place at the right time, cost effectively and efficiently. Logiscend Software provides real-time visibility of the material flow on the factory floor and maximum flexibility for the plant manager to make changes as needed. Smart materials have two-way communication that broadcasts location, status and other information about the material to the software and can receive new instructions sent to the e- paper displays to be read by the operator. The system is a single but scalable solution with a suite of application modules for picking, replenishment, asset tracking, smart container management and work instructions and can be easily integrated with existing ERP and MES systems.
