E-Waste Recycling Event

A free community collection event! Stop by Elwood Park in the North Ward on Saturday, October 25th – rain or shine – to recycle your old TVs, computers, laptops, printers, phones, small household appliances and other e-waste.*

What you can recycle

  • CPUs, notebook computers, laptop computers, towers, servers
  • Televisions (CRT and flat screen)
  • Computer monitors (CRT and flat screen)
  • Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Fax machines
  • Computer keyboards, Computer mice
  • Computer cables and wires
  • Printed circuit boards
  • Disk drives
  • Answering machines
  • Telephone systems, Cell phones
  • Satellite descramblers/receivers
  • Projectors
  • Cameras, Video cameras
  • VCR players, DVD players, Tape recorders
  • Video game systems
  • Radios, Stereos, MP3 players
  • Handheld computer devices
  • Toasters, microwaves, blenders, coffee makers, blow dryers and such other small household electrical items (no loose batteries will be accepted)

What you cannot recycle

  • Mini Fridges
  • Air Conditioners
  • Oil-Filled Space Heaters
  • White goods or large appliances
  • Freon-containing devices
  • Smoke detectors
  • Loose batteries
  • Anything hazardous, acutely hazardous, toxic or words of similar import or regulatory effect

*Items must not include Freon or Oil
