A free community collection event! Stop by Weequahic Park in the South Ward on Thursday, May 15th – rain or shine – to recycle your old TVs, computers, laptops, printers, phones, small household appliances and other e-waste.*
What you can recycle
- CPUs, notebook computers, laptop computers, towers, servers
- Televisions (CRT and flat screen)
- Computer monitors (CRT and flat screen)
- Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Fax machines
- Computer keyboards, Computer mice
- Computer cables and wires
- Printed circuit boards
- Disk drives
- Answering machines
- Telephone systems, Cell phones
- Satellite descramblers/receivers
- Projectors
- Cameras, Video cameras
- VCR players, DVD players, Tape recorders
- Video game systems
- Radios, Stereos, MP3 players
- Handheld computer devices
- Toasters, microwaves, blenders, coffee makers, blow dryers and such other small household electrical items (no loose batteries will be accepted)
What you cannot recycle
- Mini Fridges
- Air Conditioners
- Oil-Filled Space Heaters
- White goods or large appliances
- Freon-containing devices
- Smoke detectors
- Loose batteries
- Anything hazardous, acutely hazardous, toxic or words of similar import or regulatory effect
*Items must not include Freon or Oil
