Commitment to Community

Together with Students 2 Science we are moving the leaders of tomorrow forward

Community is a bond between people who care, support and want better for one another. Each is special in its own way, as its character comes from the personalities within it - a beautiful blend of unique ideas, different perspectives and thoughtful actions. Communities provide acceptance, hope and opportunity through individual efforts and collective initiatives. No matter the location or size, community is what connects us as humans, fulfilling our need of belonging and desire to help make others' lives better. Community is what moves us all forward.

See how a childhood dream of going into medicine is given life through Students 2 Science.

Panasonic employees give back

When the going gets tough, they do good

By volunteering their time and finding creative ways to help others in need during this unprecedented time, our employees have been inspired to contribute to society. This is one of Panasonic's seven guiding principles.

We invite you to read the blog to discover some of their uplifting stories.

Turning ideas into action

In Canada, Panasonic donated 260 baby monitors to hospitals in the greater Toronto area, enabling nurses to remain in the room of isolated patients while being able to communicate more effectively with nurses and doctors outside the room.

Panasonic’s Industrial Devices Group is working with medical equipment manufacturing companies to supply backup batteries used in ventilators, oxygenators and other life-saving devices that are in high demand. And Panasonic Automotive Systems Company has been supporting automotive manufacturers’ efforts to produce much-needed ventilators.

Panasonic is providing financial support to the collaborative efforts between Osaka University, Osaka Prefecture and other public and private institutions currently pursuing research and development into COVID-19 therapies and vaccines. "Our hope is that this donation can help return a sense of safety and security to individuals across the globe,” said Kazuhiro Tsuga, CEO of Panasonic Corporation.

Panasonic’s team at the Gigafactory outside of Reno, NV donated more than 17,000 protective masks and more than 500 disposable, protective gowns to four area hospitals.

The Industrial Device Group donated 10,000 protective masks split between Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches and Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Florida.
